Welcome to the opening of the innovation district in Amsterdam Zuidoost

Wednesday October 9th 17h15 – 19h15

Join us for the exciting moment from the midst of the construction of the district (literally…)!

The Mayor of Amsterdam Femke Halsema, ING’s CEO Ralph Hamers, Rector of AUAS Geleyn Meijer and Chairman of ROC Edo de Jaeger, will welcome you on 9 October from 17h15 until 19h15 to officially open the district… and to reveal its name!

The district

The district is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Amsterdam, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), the ROC of Amsterdam and ING. Together we’re developing a vibrant area and a community which is designed to enable learning, co-creation, meeting and getting inspired. By bringing together students, employees, innovators, local entrepreneurs and residents, we’re creating a breeding ground for those who want to take on today’s and tomorrow’s challenges together.
